Maha Shivratri is the most sacred night dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees perform special night vigils, fast, and offer Bilva leaves and milk to the Shiva Linga, praying for inner peace and spiritual evolution.

PUJA MANTRA
ॐ त्र्यम्बकम् यजामहे सुगन्धिम् पुष्टिवर्धनम्। उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय माऽमृतात्॥
We worship the three-eyed Lord Shiva, who nourishes all. May He liberate us from the cycle of death and lead us to immortality.
spaMaha Shivratri Puja Vidhi
Take a morning bath and resolve to fast throughout the day and night.
Prepare Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar) for Shiva Linga Abhishekam.
Place Bilva leaves, datura, and sandalwood paste on the Shiva Linga.
Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" continuously and recite the Shiva Chalisa.
Perform night prayers (Pahar Puja) at four intervals during the night.
